In this edition of Reading with Jett we will be discussing the chapter “The Sojourner Truth Housing Project Riots” from Slaugher of the Cities by Dr. E. Michael Jones.  The chapter highlights the following:
  • FHA helps blacks move into Polish neighborhoods
  • NAACP Helps by instigating tensions with media propaganda
  • Whites reject blacks into the neighborhood
  • DHA begins to move blacks into Sojourner Truth Housing Projects
  • Riot ensues with around 1000 participants
  • Riot was Whites and Police Officers pushing back violent blacks
  • FHA forces black into the neighborhood by using spies and the military (gun-forced integration)
